Supernova

Supernova is a dance festival for new generations and part of the broader ORBITA|SPELLBOUND project – National Dance Production Center recognized by the Ministry of Culture based in Rome.
A Supernova is a star that explodes, releasing enough energy to shine brighter than an entire galaxy; in our vision it is the possibility of germinating new critical views on contemporary performance practices from a young age, in synergy with teachers and in support of teaching. The festival, curated by Federica Migliotti, is part of the dance program of ORBITA, at the Palladium Theatre, as a program to approach the reading of the body as a channel for artistic practices. In this second edition, a performance aimed at high school children is added to the four shows on the bill aimed at nursery, primary and lower secondary schools. The viewing of the shows will be supported by a program of five meetings intended for the teaching staff on the tools and good practices to prepare, with an inclusive perspective, all male and female students for their encounter with dance.
