Anna Cappelli

Carlo Massari / C&C Company
Italia

TICKET

Anna Cappelli, who gives her name to this performance, is a comic and grotesque figure at the same time. A woman apparently “like many others” who in seven paintings, alternating between movement and voice, slides inexorably towards the abyss of madness, falling ruinously to the ground and taking those who watch her with her. An intimate show, based on a profound relationship with the audience who literally finds themselves at home, becomes a spy, accomplice, judge and is ashamed of it.

Carlo Massari is a transdisciplinary performer, choreographer and creator active in the Italian and international contemporary scene. Always committed to the search for new performative languages, he delves into the hybridization and mixture between different artistic disciplines, defining the "amphibious" form as one of his clear and recognizable distinctive traits.

The eclectic educational and professional path is characterized by experiences that alternate prose with musical theatre, culminating in dance and physical theatre. His teachers include: Malou Airaudo, Michela Lucenti, Sonia Schoonejans, Theater de l'Ange Fou, ATER Balletto, Lucio Dalla, Csaba Antal, Walter Le Moli, Claudio Longhi, Pietro Luigi Floridia.

Over the years he has collaborated as an interpreter for: Venice Biennale, Barbara Nativi, Marco Baliani, Teatro dell'Argine, TeatroDue, Cie.Balletto Civile, Cie.Abbondanza-Bertoni, Cie.della Rancia, Cie.Petri Dish.

In 2011 he was co-founder of C&C Company, a research and production company in the field of dance theater (MIC recognized), for which he is Artistic Director and signs the award-winning Creazioni: Maria Addolorata (HiverOclytes - Avignone, International Choreographic Competition - Hannover, Tanzpreize - Bern), Tristissimo (Premio Roma Danza, Les Lendemains qui Dansent - Arques), Beast without Beauty (ActFestival - Bilbao), Les Miserables (NID Platform), Right.

In 2020 he was awarded the CollaborActionXL award from the AnticorpiXL Network and became an Associate Artist of the Oriente Ovest Festival.
