Fabrizio Favale (currently 53 years old) returns to dance a choreographic work in solo form. American Dances focuses attention on the techniques (not on the choreographies) conceived and developed in particular by Merce Cunningham and José Limón and on some modalities of Trisha Brown’s dance. Aspects of Modern and Postmodern American dance from which the author himself comes, to articulate them and project them towards the future in free and experimental possibilities of development.
Fabrizio Favale, Full Scholarship at the American Dance Festival 1990. In 1996 he received the nomination as "best Italian dancer" from the G. Tani Award. From 1991 to 2001 he danced for the Virgili Sieni company. In 2011 he received the "Medal of the President of the Republic at Italian choreographic talent". His works are invited in contexts such as: Théâtre National de la Danse Chaillot, Paris, Biennale de la Danse de Lyon, Varna Festival and many others. He is the creator of programming projects including: Balinese Dance Platform, Circo Massimo, Plantings on Pluto. In 2019 the Le Stagioni Invisibili project received the PerChiCrea award from Siae and MIBAC and in 2021 it was included in the shortlist of the eight best European outdoor projects of the Big Pulse Dance Alliance. In the three-year period 22-24 Fabrizio Favale is Artist Associate of MILANOLTRE.
