When we look at each other, I forget whether I am looking at you or you are looking at me.
The idea we have of ourselves is not that of an organism of living cells, but something more. We are a mental (or psychological) construction of abstract concepts that translates into what we call Ego. An Ego that observes itself, reflects itself and materialises in the gaze of the other. An external gaze that reflects us and is essential to proceed in life, but which is often out of balance with our internal listening. It is in the right balance between paying attention to what comes from outside and listening to oneself without external distractions that we ensure a complete knowledge of ourselves as a Being in its totality.
