White out is the term used in mountaineering to define the total loss of visibility in the sense of distance and direction. It is created when the uniform whiteness of a heavy cloud cover meets a snow-covered ground, which reflects almost all the light it receives, making it impossible to move forward or backward. A stalemate condition that can lead to extreme consequences. A frontier between life and death with a gentle appearance, soft as clouds and snow. White out is a tribute to all the mountaineers who have disappeared or risked disappearing in the endless white of the heights: the conquerors of the useless. White Out is a show that completely blends contemporary dance, creative circus and mountaineering, with a strong cinematic and theatrical character. Three performers give life to the narrative of a mountain tragedy which is told with the principle of flashbacks and temporal alternations between the different scenes. White Out is an ironic and dramatic, fun and engaging journey, not only through the natural landscape evoked on stage , but through human interiority itself. The mountain therefore as a mirror of man.
