The performance is a manifesto of what is built in the depths of darkness and doubt. A passage to embrace mutations and the process of change. Suggestions seen through a fracture. A choreography that rests in transition. A place to encounter the beauty that emerges from accepting imperfection, asymmetry, inequality. At the centre, a vulnerable body, a reflection of a state of vibration.
“In this work, the search for new perspectives of conceiving the body and looking at it is very much present. Questioning the naturalness of movement and transcending recognisable canons. I wanted to work on the dissociation of the body from emotion and focus on movement and what it can offer from the memory of an experience. A moment of de-education in which I leave aside the more analytical and compositional part of my research to concentrate on a more intuitive, ritualistic and emotional path to rediscover a body that lets the smallest movements travel skilfully in a natural way, tracing an incoherent and new path’.
