November is a busy month for Orbita|Spellbound productions, with a schedule divided between studio rehearsals and performances across Italy and Europe.
The Study Days for Irene Russolillo’s Forget Diplomacy resume at the beginning of the month at Teatro Biblioteca Quarticciolo. On 5 and 6 November, Piergiorgio Milano presents his work White out in its German premiere in Potsdam. On 11 November, Tempi di Danza opens in Prague. This festival is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague in collaboration with Orbita|Spellbound, and from 11 to 14 November it hosts six choreographic events by Spellbound, mk, gruppo nanou, Cango/Compagnia Virgilio Sieni, Sara Sguotti and Jacopo Jenna/klm in the Czech capital.
Within this programme, on 13 November, Spellbound Contemporary Ballet performs at Teatro Ponec, presenting Mauro Astolfi’s A better place and the preview of Murmur Solace, the first choreographic work by Giuliana Mele, a long-standing Spellbound dancer taking her first steps as an author. The company’s tour then returns to Italy, first to Lazio, with Miss Invasion in Antrodoco on 14 November and If you were a man and Unknown woman in Viterbo on 20 November. It concludes on 22 November in Milan, with If you were a man as part of Exister, the festival curated by DanceHaus.
It is a calendar that crosses borders and cities before the return to Rome for the annual appearance at Teatro Vascello, from 1 to 6 December, with The Sleeping Queen, Mauro Astolfi’s latest creation.
