Two presences have passed through what has been.
Two inhabit what is happening.
Two move toward what does not yet exist.
On stage, memory, reality, and possibility overlap: a threefold journey unfolding along parallel trajectories, as if space held several times within the same instant.
The actions seem independent, closed within their own boundaries, unaware of one another.
And yet something is taking shape. The distances narrow, the lines tilt until they seek each other out.
The boundaries give way. What belonged to before, now, and after converges into an impossible time, an other dimension, unprecedented, almost alien, in which the bodies merge, creating a single presence that holds every possibility.
Roberto Tedesco, born in 1992, began studying dance at the age of eleven in Calabria. In 2009 he joined the Scuola del Balletto di Toscana, immediately dancing for the junior company Junior Bdt.
In 2011 he joined the Aterballetto company, where he remained for ten years. He won the Critics’ Award at the International Choreographic Competition in Hannover. He has choreographed for the National Theater Mannheim, created work for Ballett Vorpommern, and was selected for the Think Big project at the Staatsoper Hannover.
In Italy he has twice been selected for the Vetrina Giovane Danza D’Autore and has taken part in the ResiDance XL and SupportER initiatives of the Anticorpi network.
With the project Decisione Consapevole, he was a finalist at DNA Appunti Coreografici 2022; in 2023 he took part in the Open Studios of NID Cagliari, and in 2024 in the Programming section of NID Vicenza. In Italy he has created works for Aterballetto, MM Contemporary Dance Company, Opus Ballet, and XLdancecompany. He received the Danza&Danza Award as Emerging Choreographer of 2023 and the Premio Internazionale Città di Foligno as Breakthrough Choreographer of 2024. He is now a close collaborator of CCN Aterballetto, which has commissioned several projects from him. His choreographies are produced by associations such as KLM – Kinkaleri / Le Supplici / mk and Körper Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza. In 2025, with the project LOS(v)ERS for MM Contemporary Dance Company — where he is associate artist for the 2025/2027 three-year term — he was among the winners of SIAE’s Per Chi Crea grant.
