Workshop for ages 6 and up, September 14–16

Three days of workshops and a picnic aimed at children aged 6 to 11 and families from Quarticciolo and the city of Rome. This is the first stage of a year-long project that the DOM– collective is dedicating to childhood, to the wildness of childhood, and to its relationship with the adult world.
This first action, conceived in collaboration with the Doposcuola Quarticciolo (after-school program), consists of a cooking workshop for adults and children, guided toward inventing and creating fantastical cakes never seen before, and the organization of a picnic in the Tor Tre Teste park.
A picnic to come together and share unhurried time. On one side, running, invented games, that continuous making and unmaking of symbols and rules; on the other, an exercise in looking that doesn’t control but contemplates, and which ultimately questions the adult world through dialogue with a group of children.
The picnic will also be an occasion to tell the city about the theater, dance, urban exploration, and free-play workshop in public space that DOM– will lead across the city between autumn 2026 and spring 2027.
