Creazioni accessibili (Accessible Creations) is a space for reflection on the accessibility of performing arts events for blind and visually impaired audiences. The project encourages artistic research to experiment with multisensory languages through a residency, awarded via public selection. The aim is to create works that take into account the diverse sensory needs of audiences and that explore the expressive potential of accessibility. The research is supported by the mentorship of Giuseppe Comuniello, Camilla Guarino and Flavia Dalila D’Amico, and tested with the blind and visually impaired community. A co-design workshop with the reference community aims to broaden the participation of our audiences.
The residency is part of “Artisti in Orbita”, a residency programme funded by the Ministry of Culture and Regione Lazio as part of “Artisti nei territori”.
The project is also part of Corpi in ascolto, Orbita’s autumn programme, promoted by Roma Capitale-Department of Culture and winner of the Public Call Roma Creativa 365. Culture All Year Round, in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.
In collaboration with ATCL Circuito Multidisciplinare del Lazio, Unione Italiana Ciechi di Roma and Fondazione Con-Tatto, Associazione Ipse Lab.
