Eco is an interactive multimedia installation conceived by Eleonora Gioia, Anton Tkalenko, and Paolo Gentile, under the supervision of professor Maria Cristina Reggio. Designed as an autonomous device, mobile and adaptable to different exhibition contexts, the work uses a system composed of a short-throw projector, a webcam, and the MediaPipe algorithm to track the audience’s movements in real time, transforming the viewer into an active part of the experience. The project grew out of an internship carried out from January to May by students from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma at the Centro di Produzione Danza Orbita|Spellbound, during which the participants closely followed the activities of the artistic season, documenting performances, rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes moments, gathering interviews, and engaging in dialogue with the artists and the entire working team.
