Performance on September 30 at 7:00 PM at Parco Tor Tre Teste (meeting point: Teatro Biblioteca Quarticciolo)

The sea is neither a man nor a woman, it’s neither male nor female. The sea is a feeling of conflict like youth, or of eternal and calm peace.

A sea journey, the charm of discovery, the excitement of the departure, the resistance in front of the force of nature: Fortuna is the latest, immersive work of choreographer Piergiorgio Milano, a film that runs back from the end, when memories and hopes concentrate in an enigmatic flow of events and emotions. The performance weaves different stories, thanks to the blend of dance, circus, sculpture, narration, and music. A sound landscape that overwhelms the audience in a sea world, recalled by the swish of the waves and the songs of ancestral tradition that refract in a plastic environment, highly imaginative, stretched between an installation and a waving vision.

Workshop schedule:
September 27, 5:00 / 7:00 PM
September 29, 8:30 / 10:30 PM

Piergiorgio Milano is a multidisciplinary artist. Trained across Italy, Belgium, and France, he has been creating transdisciplinary performances and projects since 2015, following a solid career as a performer at the international level with professionals of the caliber of James Thierrée, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and David Zambrano. Among his early creations: *Denti*, winner of the Mas Danza competition 2009, the Baltic Dance Competition 2011, and the Factory Dance Prize 2012; *Pesadilla*, winner of the Premio Equilibrio in 2015 and nominated for the Critics' Prize at the Festival d'Avignon and as Best Belgian Circus Show 2017. *White Out*, from 2021, has successfully toured the most important international stages, inaugurating a research into the relationship with landscape and the opposing forces that humanity confronts. This dialogue between human and nature runs through a series of important site-specific creations designed in harmony with mountain environments and coastal landscapes, such as *Au Bout Des Doigts*, *Vague*, and the recent *Fortuna*. Since 2024 he has been an associate artist of ORBITA|Spellbound.

Viviane Miehe grew up in Paris in a life of studios, among paintings and metalwork. For 10 years Viviane practiced Bharata Natyam, narrative and martial Indian dance, discovering the rigor and pleasure of playing with the body. In 2015 she entered the BAYEN high school program in Châlons-en-Champagne, cultivating her passion for circus for three years. In 2018 she moved to Amiens, training for two years in hand-balancing with the ecJV (Pôle National Cirque d'Amiens). In 2020 she entered ESAC in Brussels, where she explored ring and movement, dedicating herself to acro-dance, developing site-specific acts and a taste for stage design and physical partnering. Graduating in 2023, she works in the street in contact with the public, and collaborates with Cie Scom, Cie Piergiorgio Milano, and Cirque BARBETTE. In 2025 she co-founded FATAL CIRQUE with Lola Husson.
