La Perla is an urban dance performance that revisits the choreographic material of Azul Petróleo. Iron Skulls Co. challenges the boundaries of movement with a quartet that explores the tension between individual and collective identity, prompting us to reflect on the intimacy of human nature.
Iron Skulls Co is a Catalan dance company based in Barcelona, directed by Moisés "Moe", Diego Garrido, Héctor Plaza "Buba" and Luis A. Muñoz. Since 2013, they have focused on investigating and exploring the boundaries of movement, merging Breaking (break dance) with other artistic disciplines, with the aim of transmitting culture through the performing arts. The company's main language is Breaking (Break Dance), contaminated with contemporary dance practices. Throughout its career, the company has drawn inspiration from various expressive languages, such as contact improvisation, butoh, physical theatre and circus. This combination of influences gives the company a distinctive signature called Theatrical Breakin', a movement language and working methodology that includes a pedagogical component, with the aim of exploring the limits of movement and breaking the boundaries of conventional choreography.
