RESERVE

Palestinian reality is made up of divided entities seeking to reaffirm a unified identity. In the face of the ongoing destruction, art can be a means of coming together, despite all barriers. The short film Sarkha offers an abstract journey among Palestinian women and girls, who seek to comfort one another in the most difficult moments. Offering a glimpse of true Palestinian beauty and hope, Sarkha is their cry, a call to be heard; to show themselves as human beings in this world. The screening will be followed by a conversation between the director, journalist Lucrezia Ercolani (Il Manifesto), and a representative of the Comitato di Quartiere Quarticciolo Ribelle. An event to reflect on the relationship between center and periphery, representation, and practices of cultural resistance, in collaboration with Solidarity in Motion, a network that supports the mobility of artists from conflict areas.
