Flavia Dalila D’Amico: In music In Levare is placing the accent on a weak note, that relieves us for a moment from a continuous beat. In Levare, however, is also to rebel, to rise up together. For your vocation and artistic research, do you find yourself more in the first or in the second definition? What does ‘In Levare’ refer you to?
Lali Ayguadé e Akira Yoshida: In In Levare, we embrace both absolute truth and inherent contradiction—just like life itself. While our work demands constant rebellion, effort, and research to keep evolving, it is equally true that breathing, stillness, and softer emotions are also part of the journey. These dualities shape both our lives and the performance, creating a space where intensity and ease coexist.
Flavia Dalila D’Amico: What was the origin of the performance Together to Get There?
Lali Ayguadé e Akira Yoshida: Together To Get There is the second co-creation of two artists who have been collaborating for six years. Playing with the meaning of the title, the piece unfolds a series of situations where two individuals coexist in a shared space, embracing the contradictions of life itself. It explores the delicate balance of support and struggle, movement and stillness, as they navigate the complexities of being together.
