At the end of the three-day workshop and participatory concert led by percussionist Joss Turnbull, the Neighborhood Festival opens up that exchange to the whole community: an occasion to bring together the many grassroots realities that care for the borgata every day, sharing spaces, energy, and collective attention. The evening will be organized in collaboration with Palestra Popolare Quarticciolo, Comunità Energetica Rinnovabile/Bottega Quarticciolo and Laboratorio di Ristorazione Quarticciolo.

Palestra Popolare Quarticciolo was founded in 2015, in the housing blocks of the Roman borgata, to make sport accessible to everyone. Through boxing, it engages local residents, becoming a driving force for the transformation of the neighborhood. Today it involves around 200 people and promotes sporting, educational, social, and political activities.

Bottega Quarticciolo was founded to open where everything else closes: to raise the shutters of abandoned premises and give space back to the community. It promotes a new model of economic development for a borgata marked by commercial desertification and the monoculture of crack cocaine. To this end, it runs a neighborhood market, a community brewery, a carpentry workshop, and a catering project, contributing to the building of an energy community.
